A moment to reflect

Tonight I just want to reflect on how much love we feel from everyone.  In the comments from this weekend alone we heard from some of our new friends in North Carolina, Baltimore and Canada. I want each and every person who cares enough to check in on Ty every once in a while to know that you are the reason he/we are able to stay strong through all of this.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We will be on the road at 5:30AM, heading down to the city to begin our first full week of treatment.  As much as I want to hold onto every second of every day, I also have such anxiety over this.  I am anxious for this six weeks to be over, for the treatment to work wonders, and for Ty to begin feeling well again.  I can't stand watching him like this.  I just want my baby to feel remotely good again.  I know he will because I have very clear visions of him enjoying the warm weather on his feet this summer, and many more summers thereafter.  :)

We love you and look forward to keeping you posted on how Ty is doing as the week progresses.  Thanks again for all of your loving support.  XOXOXO.

  2. I know it must be difficult to update us all on Ty. Ty seldom leaves my thoughts and prayers and is along side my two little boys in my heart. We as a family continue to pray for Ty and as my 3 year old says, please God make Ty's owie go away. We all continue to pray. Our prayers include all of you though that God will keep sending you strength. Remember He walks with you and holds you even when you think he is not there. God's blessings sent from Georgia.

  9. So many of us go through life never having to take a pause and value what we already have. Your blog teaches us that even when awful things happen hope can still prevail. Your family's hope is inspirational. Ty will get better, he will have the strength to get through this and he will walk on the sand this summer. Thank you once again for sharing with us.

  16. I hope that Ty did well today. The boys and I picked up something for Ty yesterday. They thought it would be "cool" for Ty to have. I will leave it with your babysitter. Remember we are all here in Pawling praying for Ty and for all of you. I have seen miracles happen and am praying for one for you. Marilyn

  21. I am cool because I get shout-outs on the blog.

I have seen miracles with my own two eyes working in pediatrics. No one has to convince me that it is beyond-a-doubt possible for things to change, either quickly or slowly, leaving everyone in astonishment. When miracle-kids stroll back into the hospital for a visit, as if having never endured extended physical and mental horror before my own two eyes, there are no words to describe the feelings inside. It's just a miracle sometimes.

  22. Truly amazing story :-)
This lil boy has strength that is undescribable and amazing! You should be the proudest parents in the world. Ty has touched my life. I'm unsure how I came across his story but I check for updates often. I think of you guys and pray for you all. I pray for him and hope for a miracle! I don't know where you find the time to update but appreciate that you do! You have one amazing child! Hang in there little one! This fight is yours!

  23. Our family is still watching with every breath, day after day we check for updates and sometimes post. Patrick (2yrs old) who is about to turn 3, looks just like Ty and he always asks me about him. He comes running to the computer, Ty Ty he yells. So cute. Danny who just turned 6 last week also keeps asking about what cancer is and I try to explain but its hard. Keep that smile going cute little boy! We are all here for you. Like our little Patchy says, "Buzz Lightyear - To infinny and Be-On....!!" Keep fighting Ty!!! Keep fighting!!!
