Ty's Year in Review

I finally completed Ty's photo compilation from the past year. It was so hard to tell his story through chronological photos in under five minutes. When I first pulled all of the photos I wanted to share, the video ran for 13 minutes :) Over the past week I worked to cut it down to five minutes, and I love it.

Please share this with your friends, family and cyber networks. September is pediatric cancer awareness month (represented by a gold ribbon) and I am trying to get a head start on spreading the word. Ty's year in review is a perfect example of what hundreds of thousands of kids are going through every day in the US alone. Pediatric cancer is the number one cause of death by disease among children. There needs to be more research toward finding a cure for these most innocent victims of all. Together, we can raise awareness. Thank you.

BTW - Lou and I really enjoyed the concert Wednesday night, and Ty was such a good boy while we were out. He was sleeping soundly when we got in that night (at almost 3AM). I was so exhausted yesterday, but it was worth it to have a night out for a change. Maybe now we will do it a bit more often knowing what an angel Ty was when we were gone!

  15. AMAZING video! He truly lives up to his name - Super Ty! Ty is such an amazing boy - he has a new friend in my 4 year old daughter AJ - showed her his video and he is in her prayers now too - she was all smiles when I showed her your handsome son - with the best eye lashes in the world (yes at 4 she's a little flirt already)! We are from NJ (moved last Nov) and grew up vacationing at my moms beach house in Ortley - infact we are going next week all the way from our new home in GA! Will we be thinking about you guys daily!

  17. Beautiful, Ty is so amazing! I believe Ty is our miracle, he is so strong, such a fighter. It's hard to believe all he has been through this past year, all we have been through. This disgusting disease has definitely tested our strength, I guess it doesn't realize how strong we are! Here's to many more years with Ty, may they be spent happy, healthy and cancer free, that is my wish when I "wish upon a star" and Ty is my star!

  19. Someone posted this on my friend's Facebook page and it really hit home for me. Davey has been fighting cancer himself and it has been a rocky road. He had surgery the other day, I pray he is doing OK. I just thought it put life in perspective.

Cancer......Some of us want a new car....Some of us want a new phone....to lose weight...But someone battling cancer only want one thing, to WIN the battle! Please repost in honor of someone who has lost their battle or for someone who is fighting!

Keep up the good fight!!! Love, Rose

  22. Wow, you've really outdone yourself with this video. Gorgeous job! I can't believe how far he's come and how much he has accomplished and how many odds he has stared into the eyes of and overcome. Wait a minute- yes, of course I CAN believe it! I do and continue to believe in your amazing little boy that we have come to know and love, despite what wrenches cancer tries to throw in your works. Believing in all of the Campbell's and your winning spirit!
