Happy

While we are forced to simply wait and see what happens with Ty, I am embracing the uncertainty and maintaining a positive outlook.  And, I'm praying as hard as ever.

In the meantime, we had a great weekend.  Gavin's birthday celebration on Saturday was loads of fun with all of our family and lots of cake... followed by a beautiful Easter Sunday filled with easter egg hunts, overflowing baskets, delicious meals, family and love.  The photos/video below kinda says it all.

  1. Reposting this here cause of the new post you did. Want you to read this

Cindy, my father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 renal carcinoma in 1999. He has had many 4 or 5 surgeries since then and been on a couple different drugs. While he still has cancer you couldn't tell by looking at him. My point to this is that before one of his surgeries the dr. came to us just before they wheeled him in and said that after reviewing his latest scans he found that the cancer has spread all over his abdominal region. He most likely was just going to open him up and them close it back up.
After hours of waiting the dr. came to us and brought us into a private room. We immediately thought the worst. But he told us that when he opened up my father-in-law he found nothing. He was amazed. His only answer was that the scans were showing scar tissue that appeared to be cancer.
I am hoping that this is the case with Ty. Thinking of you guys.

  2. Cindy, I am so glad y'all had a great Easter weekend, everyone looks so happy! I just read your post from the weekend, too and my heart sank. But, in reading Brian's post above, I smile. And, I hope as w/ Brian's FIL, it may be something other than the cancer spreading!

You are ALWAYS in my thoughts! I know Ty will be fine and continue to improve.

Ty (and your whole family) is loved by so many all over the world.

  4. Cindy - I am sending you hugs. If you need to know how much we out here in cyberspace love you, I want you to stop, cross your arms with the opposite hand on the opposite sholder and then give a big squeeze. That is the best I can do other than I am praying, trusting in our Lord and continuing to send my Guardian Angel to help Ty. Lots of love from Newnan, GA.

  11. Hi Cindy,
I know how your world can revolve around those test results. My Mom was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and she had a Dr tell her to make her final arrangements...well long story short she went with a pretty aggressive treatment plan and lived 27 years cancer free after that. She outlived the Dr who told her to make her final arrangements by 20 years! And medical advancements have come a looong way since then! I hope that once your world calms down and Ty is all better then you will publish this for others. You have an amazing way with words, truely a gift, and others find inspiration and strength in them. It must touch everyone in a different way depending on their life. I am learning to be grateful for the little things. I believe I am becoming a better parent because of you. Things I used to take for granted, I dont anymore. There are so many people praying for Ty and your family because of your words, that is a Powerful thing!! Your doing a great job Momma!
